June 15, 2013 / Manila – It was perfect sunny day as Sub-Zero and Wolf hosted the Southern Comforts cooking demo last June 15, 2013. Guests found themselves in a charming Southern American setting as they sat down to hearty meals that they can easily recreate in their own kitchens with the help of Sub-Zero and Wolf equipments!

Resident Chef Gio turned up the heat with Oven Fried Chicken Strips that were both crunchy on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside. Served with garlic sour cream and honey mustard dips, this retake on a comfort food classic surely added its own original and flavorful zest!

The afternoon’s highlight was the Braised Southern Style Pork Crown Roast, slowly baked in the Wolf oven with precise cooking technology. Its unique carving, juicy meat, and mouthwatering glaze left everybody curious and excited to sample the dish. The Crown Roast was paired with Charleston Red Rice which was prepared using the Wolf steamer module that maintained its rich taste and aroma.

The event concluded with Georgia Peach Pie, a Southern staple. Volunteer kiddie chefs had a blast as they assisted Chef Gio in preparing this delightful and delicious dessert.
